Spacious hand-woven blouse in subtle soft green. The fine dark green stripe and the woven pattern of small dots give the fabric a light and elegant touch.
The blouse has an oversized fit and is slightly pleated at the neckline to give extra room. The sleeves are spacious and are also slightly pleated at the end.
The small dots scattered over the blouse in a motif are woven/knotted into the fabric by hand. It is a hand weaving technique that is regional. Only in Surendranagar in the Indian state of Gujarat is there a weaving community that masters this technique. The dots are identical on the front and the back.
