The slow fashion label World of Crow was founded by Shaila Khubchandani (1989). Crow is based in Ahmedabad, the capital of the Indian state of Gujarat (Northwest India).
World of Crow's clothing is made locally. A large part of the collection consists of (Kala) cotton. An old type of cotton that has been traditionally grown in the region for centuries. The weavers around the village of Bhuj in Gujarat weave the exclusive fabrics for Crow. Shaila mainly designs clothing where comfort is paramount. Crow's policy is not to waste anything and to reuse all residual materials. Residual dust is also used for packaging material, not plastic.
