This is the model of an evergreen circle dress yet the fabric is quite special and unique. It's called Ikat.
Ikat motifs are made by a tie and dye technique. Parts of the cotton strands are tied in a certain pattern with rubber bands before weaving. Then the cotton is dyed. The bound spots have remained white and form the motif in the fabric. The warpseting of the cotton threads on the hand loom needs to be exactly in the same pattern in order to to weave the fabric correctly. A hand dyed and hand woven fabric by extremely skilled weavers in South India.
Everything from Via India is pure handicraft. The dimensions are unique per model. The following applies to this garment:
