Cotton fabric. Color: clear indigo. Very suitable for a blouse, shirt, pants or dress. For a regular blouse you need about 2 to 2.5 meters (the width of the fabric is relatively narrow). Combine this fabric with indigo cotton with a floral pattern! A quirky combination for a blouse with pants or top with skirt.
The motif is applied to the fabric with a paste of earth, mixed with acacia gum and a number of other ingredients. The paste is printed on the fabric with a wooden stamp. The printed parts hold back the paint. After the dye bath, the paste is removed and a motif is created of painted and unpainted parts. This is called Dabu, a so-called dye-resist technique, just like batik where a layer of wax stops the paint.
