A dress with flair in a checkered ikat design. The age-old technique with often complex patterns has a seemingly simple black and white pattern in this dress. However, dyeing and weaving according to the ikat technique is never simple.
The flaired skirt of the dress dances with you and the long sleeves fall beautifully due to the finish where the fabric is slightly pleated around the wrist.
The dress is a unique item and suitable for sizes 38 to 42. The dress should certainly not be too tight. The delicate fabric does not tolerate tension.
At Ikat, the cotton yarn is tied off in the places where the paint is not allowed to penetrate the fabric. After staining, the bound areas remain dyed. The process of binding and dyeing can be repeated several times when working with multiple colors. The fabric is then woven into the pattern in which the yarn is dyed.
