Beautiful scarves in stunning colors made from pure vegetable dyes. The hand weave is of exceptional quality. Women from the weaver collective Women Weave have made these scarves.
The design and colors of the scarves are inspired by ancient civilization of the Indus Valley. In northwest India there are archaeological excavations of thousands of years-old cities of the Indus civilization. Objects and images made from lapis lazuli were found. It's a rock with the typical very deep blue to purple color.
The color of the terracotta scarf is based on the beautiful bricks used for the 5000-year-old city of Dholavira. The woven geometric motif of the scarves is a reference to the sight of the ruins of this city.
The scarves are part of the "Weaving Ancient Urban Stories" series of the small, sustainable label called Amba
The scarf is completely dyed with vegetable, environmentally-friendly dyes.
