This organic cotton scarf is hand-woven by women from the weaving collective Women Weave in Maheswar, Central India. Hema Shroff Patel is the designer of the series. Her small, sustainable label Amba specializes in scarves. She is a passionate social entrepreneur and works closely with talented, traditional weavers.
This scarf belongs to a series 'Weaving Ancient Urban Stories'. The series is inspired by the Indus Valley Civilisation. The signature border of the shawls and scarves is graphed from one of the Dholavira excavated sites and tries to capture the essence of peering down into one of the settlements.
The scarf is dyed with natural dyes, 100% environmentally friendly.
