These pants have an elastic waist at the back and side pockets. The motif is manually stamped on the cotton with wooden stamps. No two pants are the same!
The pants are made in the studio of the label Rias in Jaipur. The cotton is hand-spun and woven in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. Hand-woven cotton becomes smoother the more you wear it. A comfort incomparable to machine-woven cotton.
The motif of the block print was designed by the designer of Rias and then cut into wooden blocks by a specialized woodworker. Then experienced hand block printers prepare the dye (they mix them manually!) And stamp the design on the cotton very precisely with a steady hand. This is happening in Rajasthan, in the North West of India.
