When measuring, wear clothing that fits tightly. You cannot measure accurately with baggy or thick clothing.
Neck | The distance from the neck to the chest in an oblique line. This determines the depth of a V-neck |
Front width | The width of your chest above your breasts |
Chest size | The size of your breasts (measure the widest point: over the nipples) |
Waist | The circumference of the narrowest part above your belly button |
Hips | The widest part of your lower body just above your crotch |
Shoulders | The distance between the shoulder seams (extreme tips of the shoulders). |
Spine length | The distance between (clearly palpable) cervical vertebra and waist |
Armhole | The distance between the tip of your shoulder and the beginning of your armpit. (DO NOT put the tape measure in your armpit!) |
Frontlength | The distance from shoulder to waist |
Shoulder ankle length | The distance from shoulder to ankle |
Spine length | Distance between (clearly palpable) cervical vertebra and waist |
Sleeve length | Distance from the top of the upper arm to the elbow point + distance from the elbow point to the wrist added together. |
High waist | The circumference of your high waist (natural waist) about 2 centimeter above your belly button. If you prefer to wear pants or a skirt on your low waist, measure your low waist. |
Low waist | Your low waist is the fullest part of your waist, usually at the belly button or just below it. If you prefer to wear pants or a skirt on your high waist, measure your high waist. |
Hips | Circumference of your hips at the widest point, usually just above the crotch. |
Thigh | Circumference of your thigh at its widest point |
Knee | Circumference of your knee |
Calf | Girth of your calf at its widest point |
Outside leg length | Distance from waist to ankle |
Inseam | Distance between the crotch seam (of the pants) and the cuff of the pants, measured along the inside leg. |
