The cotton of this fabric is Asian cotton. This is indigenous cotton from India, of which there is very little left. Most cotton is modified American cotton which unfortunately uses a lot of pesticides. This organically grown Asian cotton is much more resistant to drought and diseases. This type of cotton does not require extra water irrigation and is therefore extremely sustainable.
The top is spun and woven by hand. Hand spinning is called Khadi in India. Spinning cotton by hand is for many women in India a way to be economically independent.
The model is 1.70m and wears size S (size 36). Size M is size 38.
